Terms of Service
Last updated July 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of Roger, an early-access product from 20TPS. By subscribing to or using Roger, you agree to them.
An early-access service
Roger is under active development. Features, limits, and behavior can change as we improve the product. We'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes, but early access means things move faster and are less settled than a mature product.
What the roadmap is, and is not
Our website separates capabilities that work today from capabilities marked as in testing, next, or later. Only the first group is part of what you are buying. Anything shown as a roadmap item is a statement of intent, not a commitment to deliver, and it carries no delivery date. We deliberately do not publish dates for work we have not committed to. If a roadmap capability ships while you are subscribed, you get it at no extra cost; if we change course and do not build it, that is not a breach of these terms and is not grounds for a refund of periods already used.
Subscription and billing
Roger Early Access is billed monthly at $49 USD through Stripe, our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard's billing portal. See our refund policy for details on cancellations and refunds.
Your subscription is bound to the Stripe price you joined at, and we do not move existing subscriptions onto a new price: as long as your subscription stays active, you keep the rate you joined at. Pricing for new subscriptions can change at any time, and a new price never applies to your existing subscription unless you cancel and resubscribe.
Your live server
Roger reaches your production Minecraft server only through a scoped credential that you grant and can revoke at any time. There is nothing to install on your own machine. You choose the level of access, and you can change it whenever you like:
- Watch. Roger reads your hosting panel and reports what he finds. He makes no changes. This is the default.
- Ask. Roger proposes each change and applies it only after you approve that specific change.
- Run. Roger carries out authorised actions without waiting for approval, and records each one where you can read it.
At every level, each action Roger takes is logged, and he reads the result back from the server before reporting that it succeeded. Setting a level above Watch is your decision and authorises Roger to act within it. You remain responsible for your production environment, including backups, and the verification clause below applies to anything Roger proposes or applies. The laboratory environment we provision for your workspace remains separate from your production server.
Acceptable use
Your use of Roger must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Violating it can result in suspension of your workspace.
No uninterrupted-operation guarantee
We work to keep Roger available and responsive, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Discord, Stripe, hosting providers, and the underlying models Roger relies on are all outside our direct control, and any of them can affect availability.
Verify before you rely on it
Roger can propose commands, configuration, and code, can build and test changes in a linked lab, and can apply changes to your production server at the access level you set. Generated work is a starting point, not a guarantee, and Roger's read-back check confirms that an action completed, not that it was the right action. You're responsible for reviewing and verifying what Roger produces, and for choosing the access level he operates at. You are solely responsible for your own production environment, including backups, and for the consequences of any change made at a level you granted.
Limitation of liability
Roger is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 20TPS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including damage to or data loss on your Minecraft server or infrastructure. Our total liability for any claim relating to Roger is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue Roger Early Access entirely. If we discontinue the service, we'll give you reasonable notice where practical and honor the refund policy for the remainder of any period you've already paid for.
